YouthScape

YouthScape is IRAAC's program for young people in community, built around connection to culture, opportunity and support. It sits inside the same architecture as everything else IRAAC runs: community voice shapes what the program does, delivery happens through people and relationships the community already trusts, and the governance and reporting foundation underneath means the program's story can be told credibly to Boards, funders and government.

For a youth program in particular, that foundation matters. Funders rightly hold work with young people to a high standard of accountability, and YouthScape is being built to meet that standard from day one rather than retrofitting it later — proper funding and acquittal processes, consistent reporting, and Board oversight from the start.

Programs for young people live and die on continuity. A program that loses its funding mid-year, or can't demonstrate its impact when a contract comes up for renewal, breaks trust with the very young people it set out to support. The governance and reporting backbone under YouthScape exists to prevent exactly that — making continued funding an evidence-based decision rather than an act of faith.

That's the Sebenza contribution in a sentence: we don't run the program, community does. We make sure the program can prove itself, year after year, so it gets to keep running.
