About Sebenza
A small advisory practice built to stay close to the work.
Sebenza means “to work” in isiZulu. The name reflects the practice: practical, hands-on support that helps organisations build capability, deliver programs and keep the systems working after the engagement.
Principal Advisor
Simone O'Dowd
Simone leads every Sebenza engagement personally—from the first conversation through to the systems, training, funding work and reports that remain with the organisation.
Her work spans governance and organisational design for government, whole-organisation capability building with Aboriginal community organisations, funding and program development, practical digital-office implementation and reporting systems that connect delivery evidence with decision making.
The common thread is durable capability: build something the organisation's own people can understand, operate and improve.
